The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced site-based Electrical Engineer to join our team on a high-profile project in Dublin City Centre.
This role requires a technically capable “all-rounder” who can take ownership of documentation, verification, and site coordination with minimal supervision — and who understands why tasks are performed, not just how.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the on-site engineering point of contact, working closely with the Project Manager.
- Manage and produce comprehensive project documentation packs in line with client and project requirements.
- Review and verify electrical designs, calculation tables, cable sizing, protection devices, fire alarm systems, energy load calculations, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure installation quality and adherence to standards.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and verification of installed systems, compiling accurate records for compliance.
- Prepare, submit, and track technical documentation, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Identify issues, raise RFIs, and resolve technical queries promptly.
- Support commissioning and client demonstration activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Services Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in an M&E contracting or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical standards, regulations, and safety systems.
- Proven experience creating and managing documentation packs.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high documentation workload with minimal oversight.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain the rationale (“why”) behind engineering decisions.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Navisworks).
Why Join Us?
- Healthcare & Pension
- Career progression with a clear pathway to chartership (Accredited Engineers Ireland CPD Employer)
- International opportunities within a growing global business
- Be part of a project team where your technical expertise and judgment are valued
