Group ESG Co Ordinator 

 

Job Purpose    

As part of an exciting company expansion, Designer Group is seeking a  Group ESG Co Ordinator to join our Sustainability Department.

This is an exciting time for Designer Group, with the fruits of our Engineering Our Future Strategy 2025 reflected in our substantial pipeline of work in Ireland, Europe, Africa and South America.  

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

 

*        Drive the coordination and execution of all ESG initiatives from concept through administration, delivery and measurement.  

*        Support the production of all ESG related internal and external communications and/or marketing materials; including newsletters, posters, social media posts, blogs, reports and presentations. 

*         Ensure Company remains in full compliance with current and future Sustainability legislation. 

*        Ensure our ESG commitments and business values are steadfastly represented across all collateral and communications.  

*        Communicate with our international offices to assist with their ESG promotion and coordination efforts. 

*        Help with keeping track of all DG’s ESG KPI’s and measures. 

*        Work in partnership with our clients to ensure we manage and meet their sustainable and social project requirements.  

*        If required, represent DG at industry events and conferences. 

*        Perform various administrative tasks as needed. 

*        Support project with lifecycle analysis and embodied carbon calculations  

*        Collate data for various reporting bodies such as the GRI, CDP and others 

*        Support the wider sustainability team with the implementation and execution of strategies and execution plans. 

 

Requirements & Education:  

*        Good construction industry experience, including 2+ years experience of ESG Co Ordination on high-value projects and schemes.

*        Degree educated in a relevant environmental or science subject (Minimum Level 8, or equivalent)

*        Experience in project, contractor, stakeholder engagement or delivering employment & skills requirements

*        Experience in working with environmental management systems

*        Associate or higher-level member of IEMA or similar professional body.

*        Good knowledge of construction environmental management & sustainability

*        Strong technical knowledge and experience in one or more relevant sustainability topics (Waste, carbon/energy, responsible sourcing, water, biodiversity.

*        Be able to translate technical topics into layperson language and articulate the value of sustainability.

 

You’ll Also Have

*        Minimum Graduate Environmentalist.

*        Previous practical experience in the following sectors would be beneficial: Infrastructure; Build Environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, rail, highways, aviation, defence, energy, utilities, nuclear, technology)

*        Full efficiency in MS Office packages and other ESG related software
